Dinonyane [Aves]
Setswana and English Names of Aves (Birds) [Sika loo Nonyane]
Setswana, English and Scientific names and pictures of various members of the bird family found in these parts of the world.
Remember, birds like emu, puffins, etc which are not found in (Southern) Africa do not have actual Setswana names, hence their omission from this listing.
Emu and rhea would be referred to as nche [ostrich], while a condor would probably be called lenong [vulture] in a sentence where it is very necessary to have translations for those words.
